Joshua Goins	e820fe3a34	Add new widget test for ScrollView, test the scrolled callback ... As brought up in 7d038eb9e2, the bug I was fixing should really have a test for it - so I added one. Testing the scrolled callback is a bit odd to handle because not only does each style have a different scroll handle but it's a bit dubious when/how many scrolled callback emissions there should be. I was able to find a sweet spot for both of these problems, and although the test case is a bit vague it does catch when a style doesn't emit the callback.	2025-10-08 17:05:49 +02:00

All other expressions must have side effects or are otherwise useless. This usually indicates an error by the programmer, so emit a warning to notify the programmer about the issue. Closes #4954 Example from the associated issue: This Slint code ```slint FocusScope { key-pressed(event) => { if (event.text == "a") { accept } reject } } ``` Looks like it would return accept, but in fact, the statement has no effect. Simon Hausmann	18740aa826	Fix rem support ... After commit e04f028c91, the default-font-size property on WindowItem isn't set anymore by default, so BuiltinFunction::GetWindowDefaultFontSize, which reads it, would return zero. Instead, delegate to a run-time function where we can fall back to the default from the renderer. This patch changes rem.slint to use the newer syntax. The main change to the test case though is to removal of the explicit default-font-size property setting, so that we fall back to the value provided by the renderer. Olivier Goffart	fb9a2c0f47	Simplify menu handling ... Previously there were two kinds of Menu: 1. "Simple" menu that don't have any `if` or `for` 2. "Complex" menu that have `if` and `for` For the first kind, we were generating in the compiler the `entries` and `sub-menu` callback. This lead to more efficient and simple code at runtime. For the second kind, we generate an item tree so we can dynamically produce them at runtime. The issue is that as we added feature, the code became complex to handle, even in the simple case as we need to create a `VRc<MenuVTable>` also for the context menu so we can have native context menu. We still need the "Simple" case for the internal though. So for that I added a ShowPopupMenuInternal builtin function although it only differ from ShowPopupMenu by the type of its second argument. Since the generated code has lots in common, they are still handled together. The proof that the two different codepath were harmful is that removing it showed a bug with contextmenu within repeated element. the `contextmenu_delete.slint` started failling. It worked before because it was only a problem with "Complex" menu and the test used a "Simple" menu. The change in the interpreter should also solve the issue #9031 which were using the wrong item tree as the menu.	2025-08-15 12:07:46 +02:00

Previous version of the LineEdit didn't have a dependency between the height and the width. Apply an explicit width binding on the recently added image to prevent that. Olivier Goffart	d49fe14e4a	Menu: avoid using padding properties (#8847) ... Padding properties exists as reserved properties but don't have effect. But the menu code was using them to store values. This is now a warning because people got confused by setting padding and wondering why it has not effect.
