Fix Pen tool unable to combine multiple selected paths by extending their endpoints or mesh points (#2570)

* fixed issue

* merge-layers

* node-graph-autopanning-wire

* store the layer whne created instead of querying

* fix layers temporarily geting deselected while exteneding path
