60087fb450 Moved most of Mac/Lib hierarchy to Lib/plat-mac: it can be used both 
in MacPython-OS9 and MacPython-OSX (or the equivalent unix Python on
Mac OS X). The only items remaining in Mac/Lib are modules that are
meaningful only for MacPython-OS9 (CFM stuff, MacPython preferences
in resources, etc).

dde800ec4e Got rid of the python.rsrc resource file. The error message strings and 
dialogs are now stored in Mac/Lib, and loaded on demand through macresource.
Not only does this simplify a MacPython based on Apple's Python, but
it also makes Mac error codes come out symbolically when running command
line python (if you have Mac/Lib in your path).

The resource files are copied from Mac/Resources. The old ones will disappear
after the OS9 build procedure has been adjusted.

ccd8e8d741 - Check not only that cache file exists, but also that it is newer than 
the applesingle file.

5053b70da0 If the file has no resource fork first check to see whether it's a 
datafork-based resource file before trying to decode it as AppleSingle.

32d1a3b1c9 Fixed to work under MachoPython, doing the expected unpacking for applesingle files. The IDE still doesn't work, though, because it uses :-style pathnames. 2002-01-13 23:18:00 +00:00

a5d7da528b need() now returns the refno of the resource file opened, or None if the 
specified resource was already available and no file was opened.

de3226f7f9 Module to help other modules locate their resources. It currently knows about 
resources in applets and separate OS9 style resource files, but it will
eventually also be thought the hoops to jump through on OSX/MachO.
